Episode Summary
Gossip Girl returns to The CW on Monday, September 14, at its new time of 9/8c, but viewers can get a sneak peek at the upcoming season right here. Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) has just come back from a summer vacation to Europe and encountered a paparazzi-fueled media frenzy upon her return the day before, the first time she had been in New York City since her arrest. In this exclusive clip from the hot third season premiere, Serena apologizes over breakfast to Rufus (Matthew Settle), Dan (Penn Badgley), Jenny (Taylor Momsen) and Eric (recurring guest star Connor Paolo) for the disruption, and learns that the whole family will be attending the annual Vanderbilt family charity polo match the next day ... where she will likely face more photographers. Excusing herself to go shopping with Blair (Leighton Meester), Serena is confronted by Dan about her trip, and learns that her activities werenÂ’t as private as she might have imagined. OMG.
