"Emmy Award-winning Saturday Night Live stalwart Tina Fey writes, executive produces, and stars as head writer Liz Lemon in the NBC comedy 30 Rock. Lemon's life is jolted when network executive Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) takes over The Girlie Show and forces Lemon to hire the wild and unpredictable movie star Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan, Saturday Night Live). But that's only the beginning of her troubles as she attempts to juggle the extraordinary demands of her entire cast and crew in a show that proves work can be quite a production!

Rounding out the star cast are Jane Krakowski (Ally McBeal) as frantic comedienne Jenna Maroney, Scott Adsit (Kicking and Screaming) as the variety show's producer Pete Hornberger, Jack McBrayer (Arrested Development) as the always eager Kenneth the Page, and look for the ever-hilarious Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live) in multiple recurring roles.

Episode Summary
Head writer Liz Lemon finds herself defending her live TV show when brash the new network executive starts meddling -- The premiere episode features single comedy writer Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) living every comedy writer's dream - head writer on a demanding, live TV variety program in New York City, which stars one of her closest friends, the sweet, but self absorbed Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski). Her world is turned upside down when brash new network executive Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) interferes with her show and staff, and bullies Lemon into convincing Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) a wild and unpredictable movie star, to join the cast. Donaghy encourages Lemon to get to know Jordan before she rejects him outright, and in an attempt to spend quality time with him, she finds herself swept up with him and his entourage in some unlikely places and positions.
"30 Rock" also features Scott Adsit ("Pete Hornberger") as the variety show's producer, Jack McBrayer ("Kenneth the Page") as the over-eager NBC 'Page' - a highly sought after entry level position with the network and Rachel Dratch ("Saturday Night Live") who will appear in multiple episodes, playing a wide array of characters on the series.
