[music] Atlas Sound - Mona Lisa

"Bradford Cox is known as the visionary of postpunk-inspired Deerhunter, but his rocking solo work (as Atlas Sound) often highlights his more beautiful indie-pop leanings. Mona Lisa is a gorgeous track from Atlas Sound’s latest album, Parallax, featuring MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden on backing vocals and piano. There’s a John Lennon quality to the track, from its breathy vocal effects and acoustic guitar work to its wide-eyed lyrics like “How many fantasies were interrupted by a thousand galaxies just floating by.” There’s also a bit of swagger inserted midtrack and psychedelic flourishes swirling throughout this angelic composition." -- iTunes Store
