In case you are wondering when our blog updates, the iTunes Music Store (ITMS) changes their free singles every Tuesday, so we will let you know about them shortly after that. Also, if we find out about other ways to get free singles (such as this previous post -- which unfortunately no longer works) we will blog them right away.
Each free download will be free for approximately a week (until the ITMS updates their singles again), so if you wait too long after that then you will have to pay the usual 99¢.

Yes, they're on the main page of the UK iTunes store. Here's a puzzle though, this week's on the UK store, Against the Wall, by Cagedbaby (which doesn’t sound that interesting to me, but still… and it carries a “clean lyrics” badge) is advertised as a free download, but when you follow the link it turns out to cost £0.79.
I don’t know of anyone offering a RSS feed for the UK store’s free downloads yet.

THe Kathy Griffin was just posted today but when I go to Itunes it changes from FREE to 1.99 when I go to checkout. It won't give it to me for free. THere is a technical error in this process somewhere. Please fix it as I would like to see this episode very much! I adore Kathy Griffin.

No, Anon above me, it means the song is only free for one week, and if you asre too late, you will have to pay. Once you get it, it is yours forever.
are these songs protected by DRM?
